What is Pilates?

The Pilates Method is a system of strength training performed on a variety of pieces of equipment, focusing on actions of the spine. There are dozens of pieces of Pilates equipment, including the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Electric Chair, Baby Chair, Pedipole, Spine Corrector and more!

Here at The Pilates Playroom we offer the complete Pilates Method, as it was created by Joseph Pilates, taught by only the most qualified teachers.

Here at the Pilates Playroom, we are so proud of our handmade Arregon Pilates equipment.

As Galway’s only fully equipped Pilates Studio, we can offer the complete Pilates Method on all pieces of apparatus. Our group classes are mixed equipment. We use a mix of the Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, Pilates Mat and small props.
Private lessons have access to all of our quality equipment.
